ตัวย่อ (E=electric R=racing A=automotive) ERA ยังมีความหมายที่สำคัญ หมายถึงยุคสมัย ตามเจตนารมณ์ของผู้สร้าง ที่ต้องมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงภายในอนาคตอันใกล้ ไปในจุดที่เรียกว่า V2X หรือ Vehicle to Any Communication คือการสื่อสารระหว่างยานพาหนะกับสิ่งอื่นๆทั่วไป นอกเหนือจากการติดต่อสื่อสารระหว่างยานพาหนะด้วยกันเอง
The word ERA (standing for Electric Racing Automotive) literally means “era”. It represents the creator’s intention to address the upcoming change in our era called V2X or Vehicle to Any Communication which connects a vehicle and its environments besides other vehicles.

บริษัทได้ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 4 พฤศจิกายน 2564 โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ในระยะแรกที่จะสร้างรถไฟฟ้าขนาดเล็กสัญชาติไทยให้เกิดขึ้นมาในประเทศไทย ตั้งแต่กระบวนการออกแบบ จนกระทั่งผลิตชิ้นส่วนต่างๆ และประกอบขึ้นเป็นสินค้าให้คนไทยได้ใช้ในประเทศ
Our company was established on November 4, 2021 with a goal to build compact Thai-nationality electric vehicles (EV) from scratch starting from design, productionize parts, assemble them to the finished product and make it available in Thailand.

ทางทีมได้เริ่มศึกษาและใช้เวลาร่วม2ปีในการออกแบบและพัฒนารถไฟฟ้าต้นแบบ และเมื่อวันที่ 4พฤศจิกายน 2564 ที่ผ่านมา เราจึงได้จัดตั้งให้เป็นรูปขององค์กรที่จะมุ่งมั่นพัฒนาผลิตรถไฟฟ้าขึ้นมาโดยตรง โดยมีเป้าหมายสร้างรถไฟฟ้าขนาดเล็กให้ได้มาตรฐาน และต้องมีรูปทรงที่สวยงาม ทั้งมีสมถนะและศักยภาพในการใช้งานตรงตามกลุ่มเป้าหมายให้ครอบคลุมทุกมิติ 
Our team has been researching for more than 2 years in design and development of the EV prototype. On November 4, 2021, we established a company with an intention to build safe, aesthetic, and powerful EV to cover all aspects of potential usage.

เพราะในสินค้าประเภทเดียวกัน ที่เข้ามาในประเทศส่วนใหญ่ยังไม่มีรูปลักษณ์ที่ลงตัวสวยงาม อีกทั้งยังเน้นใช้งานแบบฉาบฉวย เพราะผู้นำเข้าต่างๆต้องสู้กันด้วยราคาจึงอยู่ได้ ซึ่งสิ่งต่างๆเหล่านี้เองจึงทำให้ไม่มีผู้กล้าพัฒนาสินค้าไทยให้เกิดขึ้นในตลาดอย่างเป็นรูปกระทำและต่อเนื่อง ถ้ามีก็น้อยมากและยังคงต้องทำสินค้าให้ออกมาในแนวเดียวกัน คือต้องลดต้นทุนให้ต่ำเพื่อให้สู้กับสินค้าที่เข้ามาจากต่างประเทศเพื่อนบ้านได้ 
Most EVs available in Thailand lack proper design and are usually rough around edges. This is due to the fact that they all need to cut costs and lower the quality so that they can compete with other EVs imported from other countries. Therefore, there are only a handful of Thai companies (if not at all) that dare to step into EV business with intention to invest their time and effort to build EV from scratch.

จึงเป็นที่มาของ วิสัยทัศน์และพันธกิจสำคัญของเรา คือประเทศไทยต้องมีรถไฟฟ้าสัญชาติไทยที่พัฒนาออกแบบและผลิตชิ้นส่วนเอง โดยทั้งมีรูปลักษณ์ภายนอกสวยงามโดดเด่นเป็นที่ยอมรับ และถูกต้องตามหลักการออกแบบทางวิศวกรรมสากล
This leads to our vision to build Thai-nationality EV from a ground up with elegant design and compliance with international engineering standards in mind.

Lightweight in Automotive Components by Forming TecZhnology

ทั้งนี้บริษัทยังเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้านการออกแบบ และผลิตชิ้นส่วนAero Partให้กับรถแข่งต่างๆในสนามอยู่แล้ว ตลอดจนชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์ที่เป็นสินค้าหลักคือวัสดุ Carbon Composite ซึ่งเป็นวัสดุที่มีคุณภาพพิเศษ สามารถทดแทนเหล็กและอลูมีเนียมได้ และมีคุณสมบัติเด่นที่เป็นวัสดุที่มีน้ำหนักเบาแต่มีความแข็งแรงทางกล และทนทานต่อแรงเค้นได้มาก อย่างที่เห็นการใช้กันอย่างแพร่หลายในอุตสาหกรรมการบิน เช่น ห้องโดยสารและปีกเครื่องบินของ Airbus A380 
Our company specializes in the design and production of Aero parts for racing vehicles actually used on the race track. Our flagship Aero part is the Carbon Composite. It is a well-known material in engineering circles that it is much stronger than steel and aluminum but much lighter in weight. It can also sustain a significant stress and is used in many aviation parts such as the airplane cabin and Airbus A380 wing.

บริษัทจึงได้มีแนวคิดที่จะใช้วัสดุนี้ในการขึ้นรูปตัวถัง ตามหลัก Lightweight Design เพราะสามารถออกแบบให้มีรูปทรงที่ซับซ้อนสวยงามและมีน้ำหนักที่เบากว่าวัสดุที่เป็นเหล็กหลายเท่า  และการออกแบบให้มีน้ำหนักเบาเป็นหนึ่งในตัวขับเคลื่อนหลักในปัจจุบันในการลดการใช้พลังงานของยานพาหนะ ด้วยวิธีการขึ้นรูปและออกแบบสำหรับส่วนประกอบต่างๆให้มีน้ำหนักเบานั้น จึงเป็นกลยุทธ์หนึ่งในการใช้วัสดุที่มีคุณสมบัติเฉพาะที่ดี และร่วมถึงวัสดุไฮบริดได้ถูกนำมาใช้เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของชิ้นส่วนต่างๆ ในรถไฟฟ้าของบริษัทเรา
Therefore, we envisions to apply our expertise by utilizing carbon composite for EV bodies according to Lightweight Design to support complex yet elegant and lightweight exterior/body. The lightweight design is one of the key factors to improve power consumption of our EV.

รถไฟฟ้าATOM จึงเป็นโมเดลแรกของบริษัท ที่ได้รับการออกแบบ สร้างและผลิตโดยคนไทยจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้านต่างๆมาร่วมพัฒนา จนเป็นนวัตกรรมของคนไทย ในประเทศไทย 
ATOM is our first model of EV which is designed and built based on collaboration of Thai specialists from different industries.

ทั้งนี้บริษัท อีเลคทริค เรสซิง ออโตโมทิฟ จำกัด จะมุ่งเน้นพัฒนารถไฟฟ้าขนาดเล็กเพื่อสังคมไทยในอนาคตอย่างต่อเนื่อง
